Full Tilt Logistics Stopped Worrying About a 60-Day Notice

Full Tilt Logistics was formed in August 2014 as a freight broker and grew into a full-service third-party logistics provider. NSDC facilitated the $905,000 purchase of its headquarters at 470 East Plumb Lane in Reno with a low-interest SBA 504 loan.

The business

Full Tilt Logistics was formed in August 2014 as a freight broker for the trucking industry. It grew into a full-service third-party logistics provider, and since 2016 it has been owned and operated entirely by members of the Novich family.

What they do

The company uses capacity data, current market value and its carrier network to price and route freight — fastest route, best carrier, multi-stop planning — for clients who want their supply chain handled rather than managed.

Why owning mattered

A logistics operation is tied to its yard and its dock. When you lease, the landlord decides how long you stay there. Buying the building with an SBA 504 loan fixes the occupancy cost for the term and takes the renewal conversation off the table.

“We love owning this because we’re in charge of our destiny. We don’t have to worry about a landlord giving us a 60-day notice, rent hikes, any of that. We’re in control of this.”
