The deal

NSDC congratulated Vassar Market on the $750,000 purchase of its property at 1870 Vassar Street in Reno. Northern Nevada Business Weekly reported that the market plans to expand its offerings after the acquisition.

Owning the corner

A neighborhood market lives on its address. Buying it means the location, and the customers who know it, cannot be priced away at the next renewal.
